Fun fact about Grimm's fairy-tales: The Grimm brothers were interested in the work of a Serbian folklorist, Vuk Stefanović Karadžić ( who is today regarded as a father of Serb nationalism ) who collected Serbian folk tales. He sent a copy of his book to the Grimm brothers, and few of the stories Vuk collected were "Pepeljuga" ( Cinderella ) and "Ivica and Marica" ( Henzel und Gretyl ) which found their way into Grimm' fairy-tales.

You've totally saved my grade on the AP Euro exam, but there's just one thing. Around 3:50 you say that liberalism comes from a Greek root when in fact liberty is traced back to Latin with "libertas". Not that it really matters, but meh

Very Helpful!

The Sorrows of Young Werther, by Goethe, actually don't belong to Romanticism. Goethe has never been part of Romanticism but of the "Sturm und Drang" !
Very good video though, thanks a lot ! -
14:21 Thanks I did almost fall asleep!

Listen. This guy sounds like a prick at first, but listen. This guy is actually a knowledgeable scholar.
