Kind of a quickie update. We have had the X5 since August 2012 and since then the truck has been pretty flawless. Everyone really enjoys driving it which is why it already has 18,000 miles. Does everything we ask it to and more. Very capable vehicles that perform, are incredibly efficient and unbelievably practical. Highly Highly recommended. I will try and get some more videos of it as time goes on. Just gets a little difficult being at school.

I find humour when someone says "half tank of gas" or "good gas mileage" when it runs on diesel, it commonly happens

I love diesel and only have owned diesel VW and interested in this X5D
How much are you spending on macitence and what's the over all reliability since I know it's a BMW -
How comfortable is this car?I'm about to buy one(2013 )for Uber work.

Im a proffesional truck driver and i put diesel exhaust fluid in my rig. The warning light that came.in the.dash in your bmw and one thing that us proffesional driver do not let happend is let that diesel exhaust fluid go 1/4 empty thats when you start having.problems with the.DEF system which can leave you stranded somewere i had to get towed ones for letting it run low a lot of times.

I love diesel SUV's. But this one looks like it's from 2006. I wonder why BMW hasn't done updates on them.
-
obviously not, considering he just went on about how great it is!

AWESOME

It actually corrected itself without a trip to the dealer. Just a really cold morning made it hiccup. But that afternoon it was good to go.
-
You pay something like 20 cents per mile over. But some times you can work out deals with the dealer if you lease another vehicle.
-
DO WANT!
-
I can only imagine what the CEL issue would have cost to get fixed at the dealer out of warranty lol
-
is it true that these X5 are a pain in the ass
-
What happens if your over lease
-
Was the CEL problem related to the emission systems.

Well 5-600 is more reasonable for what we do. I think on the highway you could easily do over 700 miles though.

Holy Crap! 700 miles on a tank? That's badass.
