Robert B. Zoellick became the eleventh president of the World Bank Group on July 1, 2007. Prior to joining the Bank, Mr. Zoellick was Vice Chairman-International of the Goldman Sachs Group. He served in President Bush's cabinet as the thirteenth US Trade Representative from 2001 to 2005 and as Deputy Secretary of State from 2005 to 2006. From 1985 to 1993, Mr. Zoellick served at the Departments of Treasury and State and briefly in the White House. He earned a JD, magna cum laude, from Harvard Law School, an MPP from the Kennedy School of Government, and a BA (Honors, Phi Beta Kappa) from Swarthmore College.
