The issues faced by these 'true' Canadians - the Aboriginals - stem from systemic oppression from all levels of government, Canadian society and corporate greed as whole. Oppression, whether current or past, always has an negative impact on people, regardless of race, ethnicity, or creed. History shows over and over that the negative impact is passed on from generation to generation: THAT IS HOW DAMAGING OPPRESSION IS TO THE PSYCHE AND SPIRIT OF ANY HUMAN. Canadians - ALL NON-ABORIGINAL CANADIANS - regardless of where their ancestry is from must remember and respect the simple fact that Aboriginals have always been in this wonderful land. Simply read how Europeans settlers manipulated, decimated, and eradicated Aboriginal cultures and populations for profit. Many Canadians recognize the injustice of black slavery, yet they completely dismiss the injustices committed against Aboriginals. No, I happen not to have any Aboriginal friends - only acquaintances. However, I do not need to have any Aboriginal, Black, Asian, women, or gay friends to recognize the oppressive and unjust treatment within our nations multilevel societal systems by the powerful, white, rich tycoons whose only main goal is self-interest. They support each other, applaud each other's efforts, pat each other on the back, smile and continue business as usual. Oh, and for those white Canadians who think that you're just fine: NEWS FLASH. Corporate society is changing. That's right. Less jobs, more layoffs, menial jobs, meager pay, contract work, loss of benefits, more taxes, and inflation. The industrial years - 1960's and 70's - are over. The wealth gap is only getting wider. Take a look around as an example. Downtown Toronto is booming with condominiums going up, every day a public notice board hangs off an entire city block notifying that a new condominium will be built, yet Toronto has one of the lowest affordable rental vacancies in the country. Who are buying these condominiums? Those who are affluent, of course. This is only ONE example, folks. My point? Even white people are beginning to notice that they are also quickly becoming victims of injustice and corporate greed. Eventually most white people will have a free membership to injustice, oppression and discrimination that have plagued Aboriginals, Blacks, Asians, women, and gay people. Yes, Canada is a great country - and as far as I am concerned the best county in world - but take your head out of the sand, Canadians, and wake up to reality. Stop bashing and blaming one another. This only leads to division and resentment. Ah, but that is exactly what the Canadian elite want us to do. Take the focus off them and blame, divide and conquer each other while they sip their champagne. I love Canada, am proud to be Canadian. I hate the injustice, oppression and discrimination. And by the way, I am a white, male Canadian, but definitely not one of the elite or privileged.

18. What I don't understand is some of the aboriginals arguments against white people is that it's "our land" or "go back to Europe." It doesn't make any sense, why not make peace with the past and move on? We shouldn't say non-nonsensical shit like that. We should share this land with everyone who wants to live here in this wonderful country.

But, of course that the aboriginal population is the fastest growing in Canada, Aboriginals get pregnant by five or six different guys in order to make money, to get a fat cheque every 20 of each month, But, they love their kids??? NO!!!! their kids are just a tool to make more money out of the government, Aboriginals parents can see that their little ones are getting mauled by a pit-bull and wont move an eye lash, hopping their kid is killed and then sue the dog's owner and the government, not because they care about their kid, they only care about making more money.
