(Todd Allen) I’m Todd Allen with Cargill Cattle Feeders out of Wichita. Cargill Cattle Feeders is part of our animal protein businesses headquartered in Wichita, and I oversee all of our live cattle production operations in Kansas, Colorado and Texas. And the same thing here at the forum, I am going to spend some time discussing sustainability from a cattle feeding perspective as well as from the harvest perspective in our plant harvest operations. Within that discussion, a lot of different facets from social, economic, environmental impacts, from sustainability perspective in the beef industry, and as an industry where we might look at going in the future to improve our sustainability. The impact on our social systems; the impact environmentally, and the importance of sustainability just from a pure economic perspective so that we are around in the future to produce the country - the world’s - favorite protein: beef. It’s very important that this next generation, the millennial generation and these young folks, have a good understanding of what matters in agriculture, and probably most importantly, how to help communicate that message within their generation, within their families. And to help direct the future stature of these industries, how they operate, how they’re held accountable in the future, and how the products that we produce can impact and provide the right story to track the right consumers in the future that we’ll need to have a sustainable industry going forward. Cargill’s had a very positive impact on sustainability globally in a number of different businesses, be it palm oil, be it grain, be it beef, pork, poultry, a lot of different areas of the business. Today, it’s table stakes to really be able to measure your sustainability in a number of different areas, and have associated metrics with indicators that truly measure the business performance across the spectrum of social, economic, environmentally, to really be able to tell the future generations that you are having a positive impact, or have a product that is sustainable long term, and gives them really permission to consume those products in the right frame of mind because of how they are produced. Are you producing more with less at the end of the day? Is this world a better place from an environmental perspective? Do you have a model from an economic perspective that is truly sustainable, so that you can feed the world? As we all know, the growing population is going to require that we do more with less. Are we going to leave a world behind for future generations that’s something that you can be proud of, that can feed the world a high quality diet, and preserve the environment and the economies that we needed going forward.
