Amazon is gonna take over the world

Amazon cannot guarantee that this service will be completely secure - it's literally impossible to have a foolproof security design that will block all malicious activity. The large majority of hacking is done through social engineering and with that
method, the human is targeted, not the network infrastructure. There's nothing a company can do to combat this, besides consumer education and further security measures - Even then, this will only slow down the hacker.
Unfortunately, this doesn't matter to the average consumer. Sure, Target lost a good chunk of business when highly confidential user data was leaked, but how much business do you really think they lost in the grand scheme of things? People still went into Target the next day and bought some adult diapers with their credit card because in their mind, there's no way THEIR data could be compromised. This will be the same thing for Amazon Go and everything that follows in its wake: the majority don't give a fuck. People will sacrifice their personal security for something that's convenient, easy, and most definitely cheaper.
Edit: This was in reply to another comment chain, but it wouldn't let me post. I didn't want to just say fuck it and erase it, so here it is, completely out of context. -
What about jobs?

Hackers though...

Your a dumb ass this one ant real you fool its to get investors excited like we're still an innovative company just like the drone delivery non sense they started last year

Love it. Love the effort you put in. It really shows

How about a video essay on Corey Doctorow? If his books are available on Audible, I bet you could get Audible to sponsor that completely.

So Amazon is trying to infiltrate and monetise the retail business entirely for itself. Fuck.
-
To be honest, I think that Amazon's future will be licensing its tech, too. Imagine when Walmart and other juggernauts buy in because it is the best automated retail service offering. It also frees them up to focus on customer service, which is the unknown in Amazon's concept. Great video!
-
Jesus Christ, that's terrifying.
-
Great ideas!

if the Left really wants to support an increase in the minimum wage, why did AmazonGO don't want to hire people? don't want to pay people? because it's only cost $15 an hour

Brilliant video

but what if i turn off my phone as soon as I get in the store?

Yeah. They disabled comments not because they were being witty and clever, but because they were lazy hipsters that were fearful that their idea wouldn't hold up to logical scrutiny. Like for example, this system would be REALLY easy to troll by putting something back in the wrong place so someone got charged less/more for something that was mis-shelved. It'd be possible to do it accidentally, a LOT.

Wow, very interesting. A little scary though. Loving the frequent uploads btw.
