Are China and the US doomed to conflict? | Kevin Rudd
Economy | Information | History | Online | Facts | World | Global | Money
The former prime minister of Australia, Kevin Rudd is also a longtime student of China, with a unique vantage point to watch its power rise in the past few decades. He asks whether the growing ambition of China will inevitably lead to conflict with other major powers — and suggests another narrative. Chinese People here could not understand the meaning of 美利坚? Although it is the abbreviation , Each character is clear: beautiful powerful and strong. You should feel shameful if you don,t get it.

I am amazed why Chinese are not outraged when Mao destroyed 5000 years of Chinese culture, religion, tradition. Mao destroyed Chinese culture since he came to power in 1949 and intensified the destruction from 1966-76.

Well, I got to where he said, "if You bla bla bla and You don't bla bla bla, then you've been smoking something" and observing this is not for me, promptly thumbs downed, forever lovin Mary Jane.

Instead of China changing West and rest of the world to dancing to Chinese tunes.

Chinese hypocrisy suffering under Western imperialsm is farce as West didn't occupied China. China is humiliating the occupied Minorities like Tibetans and cultural revolution is still going on in Tibet under China's order.

The purpose of trades is to transfer others wealth into your pocket. To have global peaceful on trade is hypocritical. What makes you think rich nations getting richer and the poor getting poorer, or worse, when the poor getting better on their own, the rich nation will fund riots and conflicts to make developing nation become poor again.

Power shifts throughout history almost always result in war. Whether it's the rising of China in the east or the demographic shifts in the west, Winter is coming for the US.

It is rather funny to hear him referring to Leo Tolstoy's book which he calls War and Peace. The real title of this book is The War ad the World because "Мip" in Russian means World but most people think that it is "Мир" which means Peace. The original title of Tolstoy's book is "Война и Мip" which means War and the World in old Russian, in which it was written. So his reference does not make sense at all.
