The FED will HAVE to raise rates by at least 25 basis points. If they do not, they will be admitting that the economy will never recover, or worse, we are on the cusp of a deflationary collapse. Savers and pensioners have been decimated over the past 11 years as rates have dropped from the historical "normal" of 6% to zero. The largest segment of the population, the baby boomers, are having to eat into their principal, get into the illiquid 7-10 year T-Bonds, or go out on the risk curve (via equities) to get a positive return on their principal especially if you factor in a real inflation rate of about 5.5% percent. Most are bridging the gap by using their high interest (17% plus) credit cards which has now topped 1 trillion dollars! The average consumer has about a $4,000 balance and pays over $100 per month in interest. The average balance has been accelerating at about a 10% per annum increase. At some point, this house of cards is going to come collapsing down. Oddly enough, consumers will default on secured loans, such as durables, furniture, cars, but will hang tenaciously onto their credit cards. There is going to be tremendous financial and economic pain over the next 10 years while the system resets or reboots itself. There are a number of good fiction and non-fiction books, white papers, and YouTube presentations on how this reset may happen. Just Google, "global financial reset" and you will find tens of thousands of books, academic works, and videos on the topic.

I think they plan to crash the entire financial system so big this time that they are going to attempt to change the monetary system, like when we went off the gold standard. Only this time they will try to eliminate physical currency, blaming the crash on quantitative easing devaluing the currency to the point where it became impossible to pay any debts.
They want a Star Trek like communist utopia, where you receive credits from what would essentially be a UN global Bank. If you don't follow the new rules, your credits are frozen. it is the ultimate totalitarian system in which you can't eat, sleep, and have shelter unless you do what they say because they control the "credit" system. -
