more often than not Benedict xvi is misinterpreted and judged not according to who he really is and what he really did but according to what other's think and judge about him. it is a sad thing to judge a person without really knowing who he is and what he did for the good of the Church.

He was a horrible man. I wish there was a hell for him to burn in. Defending child abusers and telling people in Africa that they would burn in hell if they used condoms even though it caused thousands to suffer and die from HIV and AIDS. You see Ganswein with Benedict, you saw Dziwisz with John Paul II. A Pope's secretary is a big part of his getting things done, whether it be as an adviser, travel agent, assistant with speeches, but more importantly, a close friend. It's really not an unusual sight.

Such a humble, transparently Holy Man. To give up the trappings, recognition, protection, reverence and all the other perks that go with being Pope for the simple reason that, once his doctors told him he was no longer cleared for long air flights, he knew he could no longer spead the Gospel in ways a modern day Pope simply must do. For that alone, he is clearly humble. And anyone who thinks he actually was a "rotwiller", all they need to do is listen to his first words after his election. Cars.
