To learn more about Women for Bernie Sanders please visit: http://www.Women4Bernie.us PREPARED REMARKS Senator Bernie Sanders on Democratic Socialism in the United States NOVEMBER 19, 2015 In his inaugural remarks in January 1937, in the midst of the Great Depression, President Franklin Delano Roosevelt looked out at the nation and this is what he saw. He saw tens of millions of its citizens denied the basic necessities of life. He saw millions of families trying to live on incomes so meager that the pall of family disaster hung over them day by day. He saw millions denied education, recreation, and the opportunity to better their lot and the lot of their children. He saw millions lacking the means to buy the products they needed and by their poverty and lack of disposable income denying employment to many other millions. He saw one-third of a nation ill-housed, ill-clad, ill-nourished. And he acted. Against the ferocious opposition of the ruling class of his day, people he called economic royalists, Roosevelt implemented a series of programs that put millions of people back to work, took them out of poverty and restored their faith in government. He redefined the relationship of the federal government to the people of our country. He combatted cynicism, fear and despair. He reinvigorated democracy. He transformed the country. And that is what we have to do today. And, by the way, almost everything he proposed was called “socialist.” Social Security, which transformed life for the elderly in this country was “socialist.” The concept of the “minimum wage” was seen as a radical intrusion into the marketplace and was described as “socialist.” Unemployment insurance, abolishing child labor, the 40-hour work week, collective bargaining, strong banking regulations, deposit insurance, and job programs that put millions of people to work were all described, in one way or another, as “socialist.” Yet, these programs have become the fabric of our nation and the foundation of the middle class. Thirty years later, in the 1960s, President Johnson passed Medicare and Medicaid to provide health care to millions of senior citizens and families with children, persons with disabilities and some of the most vulnerable people in this county. Once again these vitally important programs were derided by the right wing as socialist programs that were a threat to our American way of life. That was then. Now is now. Today, in 2015, despite the Wall Street crash of 2008, which drove this country into the worst economic downturn since the Depression, the American people are clearly better off economically than we were in 1937. But, here is a very hard truth that we must acknowledge and address. Despite a huge increase in technology and productivity, despite major growth in the U.S. and global economy, tens of millions of American families continue to lack the basic necessities of life, while millions more struggle every day to provide a minimal standard of living for their families. The reality is that for the last 40 years the great middle class of this country has been in decline and faith in our political system is now extremely low. The rich get much richer. Almost everyone else gets poorer. Super PACs funded by billionaires buy elections. Ordinary people don’t vote. We have an economic and political crisis in this country and the same old, same old establishment politics and economics will not effectively address it. If we are serious about transforming our country, if we are serious about rebuilding the middle class, if we are serious about reinvigorating our democracy, we need to develop a political movement which, once again, is prepared to take on and defeat a ruling class whose greed is destroying our nation. The billionaire class cannot have it all. Our government belongs to all of us, and not just the one percent. We need to create a culture which, as Pope Francis reminds us, cannot just be based on the worship of money. We must not accept a nation in which billionaires compete as to the size of their super-yachts, while children in America go hungry and veterans sleep out on the streets. I 'highly' recommend that people should watch this. It isn't this person, but the 'goals' of this person, that matters. It is FACT- There are MILLIONS of people that are struggling to survive. To work three jobs, either to make 30-40 hours of work to earn enough money to 'probably' pay their bills, and yet, they STILL lose everything, is absolutely WRONG. What good does it do, to work yourself to death, and STILL end up on the streets? What good does it do, to find a job that refuses to allow you to work over 10 HOURS A WEEK, at $8.05 an hour, and you CANNOT survive by those means?
It is time for a change. The PEOPLE want a change. Bernie Sanders will bring about that change. -
But But his policies won't work! Everyone will be miserable! Pie in the Sky! Pie in the Sky! Flying Pigs!!

Iowa Caucus Results Issue: the endorsers of the Democratic candidates seem to have reversed roles.
1. The De Moines Register, which endorsed Hillary Rodham Clinton before the Iowas Caucus, is asking for an audit of the Caucus results:
"Editorial: Something smells in the Democratic Party"

2: But The Nation's Editors have already conceded the race:
"... Clinton eked out her narrow victory... "

Regardless of party affiliation or candidate preference, if we could only get the entirety of our nation - rich, comfortable, poor, black, brown white, the entire lot - to put down their devices and prejudices and sit still for an hour without distraction, focusing on and taking this all in.
Washington and Wall Street are too far gone and too much enmeshed (and enjoying too many spoils) to ever hope that they will have a Come-to-Jesus moment and self-correct the mess. Moral hazard runs rampant. Without the populace actually taking an interest in and responsibility for what gets into Washington, the foxes will simply continue to guard the hen houses until the whole runaway but unsustainable process implodes or explodes. But the longer we wait to correct, the more violent the correction will be. -
😀 VOTE BERNIE SANDERS 2016 ☀ AMERICAS DREAM PRESIDENT 🌕 BERNIE 2016.

I can't understand why Bernie Sanders supporters don't realize that Hitler's nationalism and political stance was "democratic socialism" !!!..
Why don't they see the glaring contradiction of terms of "democratic socialism" and the constant failings of both. A democracy that is not constrained within a constitutional system of checks and balances, becomes a mob rule with no protected rights, freedoms, or liberties, and socialism is a mandatory government controls everything system, where again there are no protected rights, freedoms, or liberties !!!.
Democratic socialism is a horrendous step towards an evil corrupt globalist governance system, that will degrade to become a nightmare of horrors and strife, where there will always be a small group of the elites, and the rest shall become victims, serfs, and slaves of the elite !!!.
As a perfect, close to home, and relatable example of the failings of supposed "democratic socialism" , one needs only to see the constant violations of people's rights, freedoms, and liberties by cities and towns that have adopted a system of town charters,
They turn entire towns and cities into an overly oppressive and restrictive systems of even more laws, rules, restrictions, codes, and policies similar to an HOA (home owners association) system of no individual rights, freedoms, or liberties that are not government or communally approved of !!!. Town charters violate personal rights, property rights, privacy rights, religious rights, political rights, parental rights, etc. etc., etc, All natural, civil, and constitutional rights are ignored and egregiously violated on a daily basis as a matter of policy, voted in and enforced by a system of "democratic socialism" !!!. -
BERNIE SHOULD BE THE NEXT PRESIDENT OF AMERICA , THEN WOMEN RIGHT WILL BE REALLY HUMAN RIGHT , EQUALITY & JUSTICE FOR WOMEN & ALL HUMAN IS NOT POSSIBLE WITHOUT BERNIE CAZ,HE PROVED THAT HE IS VERY HONEST & GREED LESS , HONEST PEOPLE IS VERY NEEDED FOR POLITICS IF POLITICS IS TRUE &FOR MUCH PEOPLE,
