The UK has rocked the world by voting to leave the European Union on June 23. The impact is huge and will be lasting for years. In the run up to the summertime vote, world leaders trooped into the then UK Prime Minister’s official residence at 10 Downing Street with dire warnings. I see the Footsie 100 ended 2016 at a record high. The news post-referendum just gets better and better. But as this video suggests, it's about more than just the economy. It's about the right of a people to decide for themselves who can and cannot come to live among them. The right of a people to make their own laws, and choose for themselves who governs over them. In short, it's about democracy itself. We want ours back, and if that costs us all a few quid, so be it.
