Despite "high taxes, regulations designed to protect the public, policies friendly to immigrants (included the undocumented) and the poor and strong climate change policies, California moved into position as the world's fifth largest economy. Not dependent on the crud (oil/gas) industry, California moves ahead after UK's Brexit is hurting their currency. CA has a population of 39 million compared to the UK's 64 million. Texas, the conservative model state, can't get over low oil and gas prices.
