Capitalism being American is very overstated. Actually all Bank regulation goes via the BIS in Basel. The US is basically behind using Basel accord II. Europe is on III.
So presidents and administrations can say anything, but basically the banking regulations are centralized via Basel (BIS).
In other words... governments don't matter at all. They aren't pulling the strings. The banking cartel is, and they are always on the staff of any president regardless the party, from the same inner circles.
This time Trump's fundsraiser was Pauson from the sharkiest hedge funds in the world, and ex Goldman Sach. Was it Hillary, same story. Her main donator was Goldman Sachs as well.
Tradiionally they always become the Treasury Secr., or main White House advisors, but mostly the Treasury. -

FYI Trump said he doesn't believe in American exceptionalism. In fact he said "I don't like the words because if we are exceptional what does that make everyone else?". Unless you think he was lying about that too. He does want to get rid of the toothless Wall street designed Dodd Frank legislation and bring back Glass Steagall which is EXACTLY what we need. When you "connected the dots" on Mercer you forgot the fact that Mercer gave nothing to Trump during his campaign so Trump owes him the same.
"Gangster capitalism", please give it a rest, drop the spin that anyone who knows the facts can easily see right through and do your homework. If you feel the need to continuously bash Trump you need to wait until he actually DOES something.
