German Chancellor Angela Merkel is currently in Washington D.C. where she'll receive the Presidential Medal of Freedom from President Obama as the White House hosts a state dinner. But maybe what Obama should really be doing is ask Merkel, how it is that Germany's economy, the 4th largest in the world, is recovering so well from the recession. So what can we learn, from Germany? The Atlantic Derek Thompson explains.

Germany has by far the best médium and small companies in the world. 1% of population and 10% of world exports. And of course having the Euro they have a lower curancy than having the german marc. This mix is unstopable.

Lol RT news station is a mouthpiece of the left. Germany, if it were on it's own currency, would not be doing as well as it would appear. The reason Germany gets paid such high wages in some places is because everyone else in the EU is devaluing their currency.

Germany exports the best sex-hungry dirty chics during summer. With zero euros you can fuck the best whore. But do not forget to use condom :-P

Well, try this on for size; Germany has:
- high wages- high taxes
- high social security
- universal healthcare
- high standards of education
- strong unions
- modest CEO pay (12: 1 ratio to average worker compared to 475:1 in the US)
- high work ethics
- cooperation between employers, unions and government
- mandatory workers councils within corporations
- 24 days paid vacation and 10 paid holidays per year (US: 0 )
- 47 days paid and 123 days unpaid maternity leave (US: 24 days unpaid)
- paid paternity leave (I now it exists, but couldn't find the numbers)
- the top 10% own 44% of the wealth (US: 69.8%)
Pity those poor Germans having to live in such a socialist country. -

Actually Germany had Problems BECAUSE People were saving Money instead of spending it!

this is why hitler should have won

Absolut richtig, errr correct.

For me it is. Besonders, wenn es im Video um einen internationalen Vergleich geht. Englisch verstehen eben nicht nur Amis, Briten, Australier, Südarfikaner und Neuseeländer, sondern eben die meisten Youtube-Nutzer weltweit. That's why.

Schlechter Satzbau und miserable Orthografie. Ein feines Beispiel bist du mir.

So insinsting on a certain language is a sign of respect? interesting..

There is some truth in your comment. I (German) never viewed my country from that perspective. I'll take a Talisker on your health and cogitate about your words.
