Could someone explain some of the theory behind the USD/CAD movements described in the video?
e.g. Are you saying that Canada's improved economy (reduced unemployment, increased jobs) would lead to lower relative interest rates (compared to the US), and an appreciation of the Loonie? I would think the opposite would occur if carry-traders invested in Canada with high Canadian interest rates and low US interest rates.
Any explanation would be helpful! -
Today I'm looking at Canada's economy and its effect on the Canadian Dollar which is known as the Loonie in the #forex geek world.
