Challenges for the Global Economy in 2014

Several challenges face the global economy in 2014, states Hilary Walsh, Economy, Finance and Trade Manager at Euromonitor. Youth unemployment is still a rampant problem as 12 percent of economically active people between the ages of 15-24 will be out of work. 2014 marks the first year ever that 50 percent of the global population will be aged over 30, meaning the pool of working age people will narrow.
