8. No no, this is fake as hell. I'm Chinese, the government gives the fake number of the GDP, the real GDP is one forth of the one the claimed or even less. Most of us living in an extremely poor life, we can't even afford eggs and coca cola. You can't believe I'm this county, if you can afford the eggs, it shows you a rich person. People from west and central parts of China are even still eating grasses as food. I'm being serious, we are as poor as most african countries. And it is INDIA who will be the next super power.

There are 1.3 billion people in China.  There are 350 million people in the US.  That is essentially 4 times the population.  People need to move beyond the size of the economy to the quality of life for its citizens.  If the U.S. wanted to increase the size of its economy, it should import 1 billion people into the country.

Stop imports from one country is not a wise decision to make, due to the only reason that US buying from China is that China is specialised at producing certain goods which allows them to produce some goods at lower costs, and they could sell it to US at cheaper price. if US stop imports and trying to produce the goods on it's own, US have to cut down the size of other industries to expand the industry of the goods they used to import, and due to they're not specialised at producing the goods, the cost is gonna be high, so the firms would sell it at higher price which could drive the inflation up, this could lower down the real disposable income of US household and make them worse off, other than that, Chinese government might also ban the import from US to fight back, two countries could go into a cold war. Plus, only about 26% of the GDP in China are created by export, and only about 19% of the export is bought by USA, that's about 5% of the GDP in China is depends on the export to US . 5% of GDP is about $500 billion which surely is not a small number, but losing those $500 billion does not mean that the China will stop growing, further more US could damage their own economy if they ban the import, therefore import ban will not be good decision for both US or China.

15. As for Japan, you people do know that Japan is most likely lying about still being in recession, don't you. Also, America has been in decline for decades.
16. Take it easy guys.. If you know history..China had been world's no.1 economy for more than 1000 years from around 500-1800. (Maybe even more)Now China just thinks.." Alright guys, hold my beer, let me climb to the top, time for me to start my game again". I do believe the major reason China was behind was due to the wars that western countries and Japan conducted on China. Honestly,China is still behind US in terms of innovation, education system, etc. but 21 century will belong to this old, exotic and aspiring country. Let's wait and see! Go China!
17. Still a long way to go to catch up the US, but our improvement is really impressive. Everyone should still keep working hard in their own position, each individual's small power unites a giant power. I have a big confidence that we will keep getting better each year.

China would be a lot less rich if the American capitalist had not betrayed the US by transferring the American industrial base to Communist China to maximize profits to a point that everything on the store shelves now is made in China and the US hardly makes anything but space ship that blow up and military hardware that seems to end up being used against us.  It also seems that the people that profit from war seem to use politics to keep America constantly at war of which they make huge profits, with reduced taxes, while using that money for political contributions to work for even less taxes and more deregulations and even more money in politics given them more and more influence in the government and the people with less influence in our own government.  Interestingly, these same people also contribute to politics and political propaganda to reduce government so they can have even more influence over the people with a lot of flag waving, bible thumping and lots and lots of guns.

20. I can't believe someone below even say, don't trade with China anymore and the US can continue leading. That's so ignorant to shut China or any big economy out of American market, just in case they surpass the US!!! If the US really does so, its economy will collapse very soon. Cuz this is exactly what China was doing 200 years ago when China was the largest economy in the world. We didn't care the rest of the world, and we believed we could always be self-sufficient as we had been doing through thousands of years. Then we experienced 100 years of wars and decades of political infighting... So don't be stupid about this, guys...
