No no, this is fake as hell. I'm Chinese, the government gives the fake number of the GDP, the real GDP is one forth of the one the claimed or even less. Most of us living in an extremely poor life, we can't even afford eggs and coca cola. You can't believe I'm this county, if you can afford the eggs, it shows you a rich person. People from west and central parts of China are even still eating grasses as food. I'm being serious, we are as poor as most african countries. And it is INDIA who will be the next super power.

LOL @ the rats referring to GDP per capita. Here's a quickie for you bastards, you fail to realise that EVERYTHING in China is at least 50% cheaper. This means that even though we earn less, we still get about the same in value as your average American. This is why most economists ignore GDP per capita.

China is and was the largest economy from the 11th century to the early 17th century if you haven't heard about this. Had the communist Chinese lost the civil war in the last century, China's economy would have been at least three to four times the size of USA.

Some years ago my family and I were lucky enough to visit America. We did all the Disney parks etc. and just had a fantastic time . But we were amazed to find that a lot of the stuff we bought there to bring home was 'Made In China'. Really we were shocked. We expected to be buying stuff that was American made. Food for thought.

Ya i saw this comming in 97 when we started shipping parts to China where they would loose them off of cliffs on bicycle trailers. But they are not slowed down by things like human rights and morality. Meanwhile our country is hindered by too much governance and too many mandates so it seemed fitting that China would economically surpass us and then surpass us militarily. This could be a problem.
