Correct. But only mid-term actually. You can't think of an European or American future without China, but once China becomes a fully industrialized country, it won't need the US or Europe anymore.

Except China has the upper hand in bargaining power, because she has an ever growing consuming class and reserve. Every time a product is shiped to the west without the west shipping anything back (because of the obvious trade deficit), they are loading up foreign assets (bonds or shares). If China blows the dollar or Euro up, it is the RMB that would thrive for China is more self reliance, they have a more balanced economic tripod (export + investment + consume). As opposed to the west(consume)

The world should have a trade currency. The only thing that save the US from another recession is their dollar is the world trade currency. The biggest mistake the EU made is the Euro. The UK was very smart not to join.About China,we all know it is rule by one party which is the communist party and that is it advantage over the us the West. They can change things in a blink of eye.China is already the most powerful nation in the world.
