Ghost Cities-China: China continues to build vast cities, but they remain almost completely uninhabited ghost towns. For more information and downloads visit: http://www.journeyman.tv/?lid=61700 Vast new cities are being built across China at a rate of ten a year, but they remain almost completely uninhabited ghost towns. Racing to stay ahead of the world economy, is the superpower about to implode? "There are around 64 million empty apartments in China," claims analyst Gillem Tulloch. It's all part of the Chinese government's efforts to keep its economy booming and there are plenty of people who would love to move in, but the properties are priced out of the market. It's after 2pm and in the new city of Dongguan shop owner Tian Yu Gao is yet to serve a single customer. "It's a bit boring," he sighs. His open shop is a rare sight in the Great Mall: once heralded by the New York Times as proof of China's astonishing consumer culture, today it is an eerie vista of emptiness. "It can't stay this way," insists Tulloch, "when the bubble bursts, it will impoverish vast numbers of people". Watching this in 2017. I'm guessing people still don't live in those swanky apartments.
-
It looks like Silent Hill.
-
≈70,000 people are born in china each day, there are many more that go undocumented.
Now I'm no mathematician but I don't think they will have a problem with occupancy in the coming months!!!... Seriously this is Bullshit reporting. -
This is how you raise GDP of a country.https://www.quora.com/Why-does-construction-of-a-number-of-infrastructure-lead-to-GDP-increase China high GDP has nothing to do with their citizens living well. Majority of the China citizen live worst than dogs in USA. Even the poorest people in USA still live better and have more rights than the majority of average China people. The China gov't ordered to raise GDP and thus build thousands of these ghost city apartments with price that majority of China people can't afford but China gov't doesn't care. They only care about quantity instead of quality of GDP. They are spending money on supplies that can't meet demands. Gov't of a country supposed to spend their people's money to improve the lives of their citizen and not just the lives of Gov't officials and the rich. They want power and money building factories next to villages polluting the living environment of hundred of villages cancers and toxic smog. China is a disgusting country.

Americans built this thanks to Dollar General, Family Dollar, Wal Mart , Every department store, shoe store, sporting goods in the country, .yes it may be empty. but we sold out so they can buid it. YEAH MERICA .....CMON TRUMP. BRING IT HOME.

Seems to me that with all this money to spend on infrastructure, it would be better spent on things, like roads, dams, electrical and communications systems. You know, something that will actually benefit current and future generations.
