China looks forward to working with the new administration of the United States for a continuous, healthy and stable development of the China-U.S. relationship, Lu Kang, spokesman of China's Foreign Ministry, said at a routine press conference in Beijing on Wednesday. "We are watching the final result of the U.S. presidential election. We look forward to working with the new U.S. administration for a continuous, healthy and stable development of the bilateral ties to benefit the peoples of the two countries and the world," said Lu. "As for the problems and disputes in the China-U.S. economic and trade relations, actually you can see that such an economic and trade relationship is surely mutually beneficial with win-win results. That is why the trade volume between the two countries grew from slightly over two billion U.S. dollars in the 1970s to more than 550 billion U.S. dollars last year. This is for sure because it has been beneficial to both countries and peoples. As for some specific issues, I believe China and the United States, as members of the World Trade Organization, are able to settle them under the mature WTO framework. As for some comments during the U.S. presidential election which held that changes in the U.S. employment have something to do with the trade with China, I think facts in the past few decades have already indicated that trade between China and the United States has done good to the peoples of the two countries, rather than the contrary," Lu said. http://www.cctvplus.com/news/20161109/8036241.shtml#!language=1 Subscribe us on Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/c/CCTVPlus CCTV+ official website: http://www.cctvplus.com/ LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/company/cctv-news-content Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/NewsContent.CCTVPLUS Twitter: https://twitter.com/CCTV_Plus
