I do not simply understand why china is doing this. Why don't they just build more improvements to already populated areas and invest in clean energy instead of wasting money and time on buildings that won't ever fill. Then again I still don't get why my country(USA) is investing so much in military instead of the future of space such as NASA. At this point I'm just face palming at humanities stupidity.

Am I missing something? These apartments/houses have been bought and are therefore OWNED. So it's not like the developers are holding an unmanageable amount of bad debt, meaning the banks are not in a precarious situation. If anyone is facing a crisis, it is the speculators/people who have bought the property as an INVESTMENT and must now wait for someone to buy it before they can realize a return. So, where's the bubble??? Thoughts please

Welcome to central thinking. ...... Freedom is the way my friends.

You can't help noticing a joy on the face of a hostess. You can read on her face "Yes! We knew it. The Communist economy doesn't work! Finally!"

Those buildings are futures.

This is why India are better. Slow but very steady.

This is China's version of the roaring 20's about to hit the great depression

insanity.....solidified

We already know that being normal is not normal in terms of mental health and in this case the Chinese are victims of their own insanity. It is truly an abomination, an affront to humanity that they build so much for the rich and lay waste to the poor. And the US and European countries fare no better. Capitalism has served well since its inception but if we let go on as it is with no regard to the well being of all, it will collapse. It's only then that the capitalist will wake up from their delusion that their god has clay feet.

So if the Chinese are not allowed to invest abroad, then why do I have to fight all cash chinese buyers here in the country and state CA that i lived in my whole life? They are running the housing market in the US, they know the housing market in China is BS and are now using all the idiot chinese middle class that will lose all once the bubble burst. They already have there places in NY, Chicago, and SF Bay area <------ the worst!!!! I always thought it was 20 Chinese families chipping in for one house where Im one person, but if they cant invest abroad, WTF.

Maybe this is China's version of Agenda 21 to be implemented at a later date.
We are steadily working on our own...all peoples confined to small cubicles with their lack of control. The confiscated lands will be used at the will of the controllers. -
These Chinese are forced to move by the corrupt government. If they don't listen, they are simply killed! It's sad but it's the truth.

Very interesting to see the 2 systems 1 country unfold. Wonder if protests will lead to another Tienanmen Square skull crushing tank finale.
I don't see what kind of bubble this is. The housing is necessary and will increase the quality of life for people. China will be that much closer to a developed country status. They have built so much housing the the market is over saturated with supply. The CCP will have to raise the wages of the workers so more people can afford housing so the developers can repay the loans and keep the gravy train going. However, they have been all about economy first since Deng Xiaoping.... doubt the CCP will change their way of thinking now. -
I would be interested in seeing a poor classes revolt, in which the poor would break into these ghost houses and inhabit them, building local small economies.
