2. now, it is a must for China to make inroads in research to come up with a beneficial grain specie and food product that is free of gmo. a research and achievements that will benefit the whole world. a world that will be able to feed itself without resorting to all those evil scheme such as war, or man made sickness to repopulate the world. China should aim for that role and be the truly benevolent leader of the world.
3. Even if China tops the US annual GDP, their GDP PPP is still TERRIBLE compared to the American GDP PPP where the US GDP PPP is about 6 times bigger and better than the Chinese part. So if China wants its citizens to have great quality lives like the American ones, they need an annual GDP not of 17 trillion dollars, but an annual GDP of 102 TRILLION DOLLARS!!!!!! 
     However, of course it is a big deal and if China's annual GDP tops the US within the next 7 years or so, then it will cause some serious changes not only in Eastern Asia's geopolitical field, but the whole world's politics and markets. And everyone knows that after becoming the strongest economy of the world, becoming the strongest militarily could happen at any day, but it is not guaranteed of course. China still suffers from oppression, no real democracy, and many freedoms not obtained by middle-class and low-class citizens. China still has SO MUCH to improve nationally in politics and in its economy.
4. You can't just look at the number of the GDP, you have to look at the quality of the GDP and see if your system is sustainable over the long run. What China is doing is to boost up the Numbers in GDP at all costs, which led to over supplies in the market for many industries. Plus the pollution and food safety, so I believe that somewhere in the future, those things will come back and hit you. What goes around comes around, You can't just think you can pollute the Earth, suppress your people and media and expect that nothing will ever happen.

6. No no, this is fake as hell. I'm Chinese, the government gives the fake number of the GDP, the real GDP is one forth of the one the claimed or even less. Most of us living in an extremely poor life, we can't even afford eggs and coca cola. You can't believe I'm this county, if you can afford the eggs, it shows you a rich person. People from west and central parts of China are even still eating grasses as food. I'm being serious, we are as poor as most african countries. And it is INDIA who will be the next super power.

   China is the biggest trader in the world. Biggest creditor. Biggest foreign reserves + gold. Owns 99% of world's rare earth. Soon to be biggest importer, too.
   China produced more cement in a couple of years than US did in the entire 20th century. Biggest internet users with 700 million people subscribed. China also probably has the biggest black market unaccounted for also. Biggest Gold Producer and consumer. 
   As for in the military, China will build 40+ warships this year alone. China launches more than 100 rockets into space per year. Most people don't know that China already has 400+ ships. US with 283. 
   China has built quantum entanglement communications infrastructure of 2000+km. US has none. And the list goes on.
10. Total GDP is meaningless, GDP/person is the real deal. China is still far behind the U.S. by GDP/person, so there no time for us to get involve into any world conflict.

12. Well there are 4x more people in China so it was bound to happen. India likely will follow the same path in the future. Just how it is. What matters is being in any 1st world country making a good wage. For that the only real giant country is the United States.
    
    Hopefully this gives more fuel power for the US to grow and change things quickly. Things can be done to increase the US Growth % but it starts with making the adjustments in the congress rather than fighting all the time.
