Ben isn't accurate of all. My props go to Raghuram..
-
First Ben says, "we don't know, they don't know, nobody knows" and then push everyone aside saying that he has the answer. At least he could have presented it as a view or an oppinion, it seems to me that there's quite a bit of sophism going on here instead of real understanding. Be aware..

there is no real differents on this panel other than sharon. if Time wanted a debat they should have had a austrian economist.
-
@31MVT31 You should move and take on Your vision. You have to have one.
-
HAHAHAHAHA look at Raghu @1:21

One of the most important debates of the 21st Century. What it resolved? I am broke and I am not alone.

Labor lady kicked butt. Private equity guy held his own too I guess
-
This lady has has made herself look so bad

Listening to CEOs discuss the future of capitalism must be like the discussions of the communist party in Soviet times talking about the future of communism. And you sure don't get any sense of their sincerity in recognizing the social problems attributable to capitalism. But communism did produce a Gorbachev, so there is still a glimmer of hope. Sharan Burrow, listening to you was inspirational. Godspeed in future endeavors.

Dear WEF and TIME: When you have one arguing against four, you cannot call this a debate. More balance was needed
-
ofc those billionaires think capitalism works... for them
-
David M. Rubenstein tries to frame this crisis as a normal business cycle, just a normal boom & bust :)
-
No comments?! Very Very interesting debate

Not enough power? Wow. So this fellow would have us believe that the biggest corps don't lobby the govts. to write the laws. And what he's really saying because he is into the green technology, is that the govts won't allow them to bring in carbon taxing like they want to do. Who is this guy trying to kid? I'm sorry, but there are many of us out here that can see through the nonsense of it all. There will not be any trust, until we get total transparency from media, corporations, and govts.

"This is replacing too big to fail by too many to fail" "those are excellent twitter lines, but they don't asses the deeper issues" just taking notes, don't mind me :D
-
the man from india, is wronge. There are protectionist measures throw lobbying and government subsides in medicine are what make doctors pay so high. the skill set needed is purely deceptive right now. most medicines are made buy government grants in research universities. The fact is people look up to these crooks. Most of these people should be shot in the head and there assets should be sold both personal and business. Young people have not opportunities because of all the debit.

My opinion: A labor leader was put on a panel with titans of private enterprise and authorities on the economy so it was somewhat of a feeding frenzy whenever she would try to make a point. I think that was inevitable though, because while she kept urging people to make more jobs across the world, she didn't want to hear from the economics experts on how to get that done. She came off to me as not knowledgeable on the economy, I think she was just put on as a counterpoint-- a poor one, at that.

i love these talks on capitalism, simple matter of the fact is in a capitalist society you need people at the rock bottom of society in order to feed, clothe those just above them and so forth. Capitalism is based upon hierarchy, there is obvious inequity between the classes now than there has ever been.
