Davos 2016 - How to Reboot the Global Economy?
Economy | Information | History | Online | Facts | World | Global | Money
http://www.weforum.org/ In 2015, global economic growth did not exceed 3% and 2016 is likely to be similarly lacklustre. Growth in emerging economies is flatlining and the digital revolution has yet to improve productivity or growth numbers. Is this the new norm, or will countries be able to spur growth in the future? - How are governments and businesses adapting to slow economic growth? - What actions can governments take to catalyse growth? - Can we capitalize on new technology and innovation to jump-start the global economy? Speakers: · Nelson Henrique Barbosa-Filho, Minister of Finance of Brazil. · Enda Kenny, Taoiseach of Ireland. · Mehmet Simsek, Deputy Prime Minister of Turkey. · Joseph E. Stiglitz, Professor, School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA), Columbia University, USA. · Zhang Xin, Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder, SOHO China, People's Republic of China. Moderated by Kevin Delaney, President and Editor-in-Chief, Quartz - Atlantic Media, USA.

Các nước xuất khẩu dầu mỏ nên tái đầu tư cho công nghệ tái tạo, bơi vì chúng ta không thể sử dụng nhiên liệu hóa thạch mãi được và cũng nên tìm cách phát triển bền vững

fuckin statists, taxation is thesft

God bless Joe for trying but why doesn't he just replace 'aggregate demand' with an increase in wages?? That's obviously what he means. We all know what needs to happen, inflation. Wages and prices must come up to the level of inflation of asset prices. But, firms don't want to raise wages because it will lower their profit rates.
There is no reason to drone on about more production, at least in the U.S., until that equalization process happens. We used to have a method of redistributing Economic Rents. It was called progressive taxation but special interest groups have turned that recycling mechanism off. All the credit creation gains are getting trapped by the top earners.
The other solution is to do it through monetization that is given out directly as a citizen dividend. Of course the rich will complain about that even if it's done without taxation because it will degrade the proportional wealth of those assets. Well, guess what Richy Rich... if you don't do it your asset gains will degrade as demand continues to drop and the price gains in assets are lost!!! -
Thank you teacher ;)

Kenny is not fit to share a stage with Joe Stiglitz!!

People from Ireland, I completely understand what you are talking about Kenny, but in this painel, Barbosa is worst. In the entire brazilian history, 100 years of historical GDP, we have only 3 times decreease underneth 3% and Mr. Barbosa and his friends gaves us the 4th.
