oiy --- in hindsight the ending of this q/a would be very different knowing now that our election was tampered w from another country "tech in the wrong hands". what policy do we implement to punish the bad behavior.

Liars and Dreamers. Dream on. Yahweh of Armies is coming for you. Even the Legitimate King of Israel!! Yes He rose. And He created the Genome. And that is science you have no clue about. So dream on.

World government! These people are sick! They are not God!
-
Genome editing? is this bitch serious?
-
Actually government or societies have no right deciding on whether these technologies should be allowed or not. That choice is for the user of the technology alone to make. If someone wants to genetically engineer his or her children (given the technology is safe enough, then it's only their choice that matters. Nobody has the moral right of instructing other people what they can and cannot do.

I want these things to come sooner. I see us in a race against time.
-
yeah, go ahead and play creator of mixed embryos - maybe society would be forced to create their own kids - watch out- maybe little shaitans could result.
-
Is the world economic forum for toddlers? They could hardly dumb this down anymore and spend the entire time speaking on behalf of others.
-
"If people don't want their information on the internet they shouldn't use it"
"If people don't want to us to hear what what they're saying stay then don't talk" -
Each one of these panellists is completely insane

Great to see such optimism. I think our opinions about human enhancement will change one we know more about it. Right now, it would be a crap shoot; we don't know what we are doing. But once we get more knowledge and confidence about it, as well as getting used to the more preventative way we will have gotten used to using gene editing at that point, we will be ready to embrace radically more intelligent, compassionate (etc.) humans.

God will raise everyone from the dead, not resuscitate, but resurrect; most to the second death and some to everlasting life. The first resurrection of believers in Yeshua Messiah is immanent. Wide is the gate that leads to destruction.

The gray goo scenario isn't a real risk.
