When the animator does not know what sequence the player will perform their actions in or even where they'll place the camera, they have to design their animations to meet every possible circumstance. On top of that, animations need to feel responsive, even more than they feel realistic - yet they must still look good on screen. The HD Remake of Punch Out!! for the Wii created good solutions to these problems, resulting in a game that not only looks and plays great on its own merit, but faithfully recreates the gameplay of the original. ___________ Recommended for you! Holy crow this is really intresteing how good that is
-
the controls felt slightly laggy to me. this becomes more apparent towards the end of the game where you have to dodge precisely or else, you get nailed. hard
-
I'm so sad Kung fu panda was ended at the 3rd movie😭😭😭
-
I had that game and gave up at world series 3: Pro Boxing
-
The single player is amazing but the multiplayer is just bad
-
And what should we sacrifice in animation in multiplayer: responsiveness or physicality and overall look?
-
His make me want to watch the game grumps play through of punch out again
-
Wouldn't you say that next level games did a next level job.

The animation of Punch out for Wii is actually a few ways better than NES version. Like when Mr. Sandman is about to unleash the Dreamland Express, he just stands there in the NES version. But on the Wii, he slightly lower his guard and ask you if you're afraid and yells "Boo!" once or twice before unleashing his Upper Cuts. Be sure not to stumble while dodging Mac.

For the controls input thing, what about games like bloodborne or dark souls
-
the comments when he watches the animation are too perfect

Punch Out for the wii is a great game and so are it's animations.

A couple of fun things about the Star Punch animation:
1. The windup animation doesn't leave Mike totally vulnerable. It has the same effect as ducking.
2. The animation changes with the number of stars the punch has. The 3-starred is pretty much the same animation as Ryu's Shoryuken from Street Fighter. -
Well I guess they pushed the animation to The Next Level...
I regret nothing. -
cool
-
I love the enthusiasm
-
Why did I enjoy this and think its cool?
-
Why does no one talk about "Super Punch Out" ?
