When his software business, along with dozens of others, was displaced by the Christchurch earthquakes, Wil McLellan found himself in an unlikely position: real estate developer. Working with a wide group of entrepreneurs and advisors, Wil and business partner Colin Andersen created the Enterprise Precinct Innovation Campus, or EPIC. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event.
