It would be a better world if workers controlled the firms they worked in. But how can co-ops emerge in an era of monopoly capitalism? It is hard enough for small firms to get funding and survive - you have to think that the monopoly firms would do everything in their power to wipe out a growing co-operative in their industry.
Of course here and there small concerns could be (and are) successful, but it seems you'd need some government intervention to give them breathing room. I'm all for this - I just wonder what it would look like? -
If you think as I do that prof. Wolff deserves a wider audience, don't you think we all should nominate him for TED talks ?https://speaker-nominations.ted.com/ We can also ask the various talk show producers to invite him.

Nice save on the story of Emmanuel--- more stories like these.... Attributes...left criticism of left not living up to their values and policy makers using their position for personal gain. It's is these stories that keep me coming back. It is these stories that will produce the demand for better candidates.

Yes Jill Stein fr the Green Party, a very brilliant women capable of the office. Is brushed aside 4 the sake of the, "2 gangs that rule this Stupid Cuntry !" WTF every 1, WTF ?

Interesting how a wsde would eliminate strikes. How would you restructure public education to end strikes, like the one currently in my state of PA?

What does the general public get for providing these elite schools tax free status? Other than a few token minority admissions, even the most brilliant students from the middle class are not allowed admission. These schools are largely filled with well connected and high $ donor class. These schools have no requirement to admit the smartest and the best to maintain their tax free status. For example 2% of the U.S. population is jewish yet 25% of Harvard's admissions are jewish. Can you see how the wealth gap increases and the corporate and banking control is orchestrated? Sure private schools can do what they want... but should the public subsidize these billion dollar endowments and the scholarships of the well connected by providing them multiple levels of non-profit status, games that shift the tax burden to wage earners, occupancy that robs the local community of real estate and businesses that would otherwise pay taxes? Yet they don't let you in unless your upper crust. How many CEO's come from these institutions? Yes the game is rigged.

Why doesn't Hittlary appoint Wolff to the Fed

Why bashing the rich? We know they are insanely rich. And what else should these narcissic, egoistic people do with their money, but buying expensive stuff? I would rather hear things, which are wrong in this system and HOW it can be fixed. Take the energy from getting upset and angry at the rich people, and focus on the energy what WE can do (better). Go a different route to happiness besides money. Nonetheless I really like the work of Mr Wolff!

I guess the people who made the complaint against Princeton are so shallow they sell their principles for money. What's the point of creating a fair an equitable society if the people in it can be bought and sold like whores? Pointless.

Am I the only one who is hearing a very odd animal noise pop up in this video randomly?

Marx simply found the reason why Capitalism, is fundamentally flawed
SLAVERY. Whether to a lord in Feudalism or an employer in Capitalism, the
result is the same, INEQUALITY, economically, socially and the facts speak for themselves.
A constant cycle of boom and bust, with only a tiny percent of the Earth’s population,
enjoying good health and prosperity. The politics of the ME not the WE and as
Hobbs predicted life would be"harsh, short and brutal for most". -
Thanks for posting this, just more evidence of the failures of this Capitalist system, cake for them and gruel for us.
