They were just like everything in the song American Pie, which was written about them. They started off so strong and inspiring, but by the 1980’s they had become absolute dreck—beyond greedy, incapable of humility, and given to every sexual vice conceivable. Still, the media kept hurling praises at them as though we were still living in 1967, the result being you’d get these uber-narcissists like Hillary Clinton who were incapable of moral introspection. And although Trump is certainly a step up from Hillary, he’s really not that far up, nor all that dissimilar. He wasn’t standing in the middle where the current is strongest, but he’s still from that same stream—and in time, he will become as unpalatable to today’s American public as his defeated opponent.

Another factor to consider is that we are pricing an essential (shelter from the elements and a place to sleep) as a luxury item. You can't hold down a job, or even look for a job if you are out of work, if you have no place to sleep, keep warm and dry, and shower? I'm not saying the government should give out free houses to all, but more affordable housing is desperately needed. I'm on a waiting list for affordable housing that is 4 years long!
If the homeless and the poor do not have stable housing, they will not be financially self-reliant and self-sustaining. That's a massive drain on tax dollars. -
Proud to be a boomer vampire,$$$$$$$$$, oh baby...gimme gimme gimme, more ,more, more! I got mine ,how come you got none? And by the way keep paying into social security for my err your future.

Biased and disingenuous article. You portray the 'Boomers' as a conniving group that have pillaged society, then as a foot note say that you're not really blaming individuals. You play the cards you're dealt regardless of the name given to your generation. If the economic conditions of the previous 30 years had started today instead it is very likely that the financial behaviors you describe would be the same going forward, just different faces.

Try raping our women and children you fucking discusting animals.. american men will rip your lil dicks off and shove em down your crusty throat. Ahhhhhh why is this happening? German men get off your asses and stand up to these invaders

How can you hang this albatross on the neck of the boomers? Most of the resistance to multicult and mass immigration is coming from them, what the media dismissively calls “old stock.” It’s the millennials who are voting for Turdeau and Co. It’s the millennials who worship consumerism and cultivate sterile lifestyles. And what are those holes on their necks?

The main form of robbery has been to offshore jobs, providing greater profits and cheaper goods for the secure portion of my generation whilst requiring your generation to spend years buying worthless and borrowing to maintain our levels of consumption. We get the equity. You get the debt.

just rent hotels thats the solusion

Yeah I'm not sure I understand why they're robbing us. The governments aren't putting the money into the pensions, if you think them saying they don't have the money into them is the truth, that's a bit naive.

REALLY SORRY I DROPPED THE BALL! At least in the end its not like i was depriving the world. I just said hold on i got some extra chips in the back and showed up 6 months later with said bag of chips and a HUGE apology. Really really sorry!

it's okay western couples don't need to have children, simply import more BBCs.
-
Ooooo - people getting remortgages or selling then buying was probably no small part driving the economy in the past... Millennials can't do that. Problems for the economy ahead.

it s so annoying to hear old people talk about how i still live in my parents home at 20 years, i really want to get out but for the same house, old people payed way less (if you count inflation) back then. A single room aparment in a bad neighbourhood in the outer city costs way more now than a home in a good neighbourhood in the inner city back then (still counting inflation)

A guy named McCarthy warned about such events, nobody listened because the eventuality seemed too remote.

in sweden we were told that immigrants from shithole countries are "money machines" and most people didn't question it. Please just end my misery

Fuck how many times have I seen this video? I've commented at least twice. I see. Good video. My mother is close to retirement and boy are her options good. She's going to be rich when she retires. I mean that she will have more money coming in than she could possibly spend. That wouldn't be the case if she stopped working though. I have mixed emotions about this. My mother has worked her whole life. I have worked almost none of my life. Thanks to a drug addiction and the US prison system. I'm nearly unemployable now. Which is fine since I wouldn't work at 9 to 5 if I could. I'd rather be homeless. I've been homeless too, so I know what that entails. For all my mother's hard work. She might get 10 years of comfort at the end of her life. Doesn't appear worth it to me. I have lowered my cost of living to maybe $500/month. I can make that anywhere doing anything. All I had to do was give up the crazy idea that I might earn my way into wealth. That is the American delusion.

Hey, Black Pig-eon -
You just lost a subscriber. And gained another thumbs down not liked prompt.
You are speaking of the baby-boomer generation as if all are participating in your interpretation of what is going on economically.
I am a baby-boomer and, like many baby boomer's, are not participating in anything that you are 'lecturing' about.
You should be more careful how you describe such things. This article makes ones like you - 'generation X/Millennial's' whichever you call yourselves, like a selfish, lazy prick that has never ever worked and never will a full day of real work in your entire life.
Like many baby-boomer's very well have.
Many of us have worked REAL jobs involving REAL WORK for many more years than one's like you have been alive.
And, welcome to the forever existing economic trend that has been going on in this country and in all 'developed country's' that you are describing that has been going on and on for MANY generations. Not just the last three.
If one's like you would simply remove your 'horse blinder's' made of lazy sloth and selfish greed, you would have nothing to blame on one singular generation.
How much do you want to bet your life on the truth/fact that a huge portion of your 'generation X/millennial's' are practicing very well the same economic habits you are only stating that ( all? ) 'baby boomer's' have and still are practicing in effect to the next generation?
And, as well, are you fully factoring in the full effects of inflation with you narrow minded 'analyses', here?
The U.S. dollar has and still is being dramatically deflated in value by all of your favorite 'pet peeve's' in leftism and the rest.
Here is a perfect example of one of the reason's this country's economy has and still is getting flushed down the world toilet and into the planetary sewer:
Study the full impact of the destruction of the once thriving planetary economic juggernaut of the planet - and how the cross-dressing fake Democrat's 'in bed' with the leftist's and The Black Caucus - the once thriving city of Detroit's demise - and how this was a MAJOR blow to this nations entire economic picture. To the value of the U.S. dollar.
And how this same above mentioned team of economic destroyer's are dragging down one city after another. Furthering the very same 'dominoe effect' of economic destruction of this nation 'one at a time'. Slowly but surely.
Like a team of suicidal manics 'at large'.
And a lazy, greedy putrid puke like you are trying to blame it on the entire 'baby boom' generation?
What about all the enlisted military veterans that served in Vietnam by government FORCE with the draft and all? In which represents the majority of most male 'baby boomer's'? And the fact that most of us are the children of WWII combat enlisted military vets as well?
You arrogant, lazy PRICK!
How many of you cowardice millenial's/gen X PUNK's have served in the U.S. Enlisted Armed Service's of this nation? During any type of conflict? Drafted or otherwise?
COWARD. -
Wow....Those Canadian "Mansions" are total Shit!!! I have a bigger nicer building just to put my lawn mowers and tools inside...seriously!!! The main storage building in my back yard would literally be worth around 1 Million Dollars in Vancouver!!! Holy shit.... Fuck Vancouver then!!!

hey BPS it should be noted that house prices in the UK have been stretched mostly in London, you can still find affordable housing outside of London and the South East.
