Economics 101 - Capitalism
Economy | Information | History | Online | Facts | World | Global | Money
Capitalism is in crisis. On this point all are agreed. But what is the crisis? How can it be solved? Is capitalism the 'end of history', as Francis Fukuyama famously said after the counter-revolutions in the USSR and Eastern Europe in 1989-91? Will capitalism simply 'sort itself out'? Is it the best of a bad lot, as Churchill and Thatcher maintain? OR is it up to you and me, the working people to lay hold of the means of production - the factories, mines, banks, offices, warehouses, shopping empires, shipping, rail, trucking conglomerates, and run them ourselves; to plan production sustainably to satisfy OUR basic needs and to meet OUR pressing interests. For what will be the cost exacted from the masses of working people of the world in 'blood and treasure' for capitalism's ongoing existence? Can the world bear yet more "belt tightening", poverty, misery, ill health, malnutrition, environmental degradation, unemployment - with all the physical and spiritual degradation that these entail - and deaths from economic and political causes - notably war and famine? And why? All so the few hundred billionaires can carry on amassing obscene amounts of wealth at our expense! In this talk, Ella Rule explains the economics of capitalism, including the basics of Karl Marx's Classic "Das Capital" and Lenin's "Imperialism". Only by understanding the problem, can we find a solution. How is value created? how is it amassed? Of what does exploitation consist (How are workers robbed of the values they create?) Watching this video introduction is a vital step - that takes us closer to the goal of building a movement with the understanding to tackle our parasitic and decadent ruling class; place workers in control; and enable us to build an economy that serves the interests of the vast masses of humanity. Please watch and help to spread it far and wide. You are welcome to repost it, but please acknowledge your source. "The capitalists are our implacable enemies. Their wealth is built upon our poverty, their joy upon our misery!" There is not a crime that capitalists will not commit to preserve their monopoly over the means of production, distribution and exchange. The only fitting punishment is to deprive them of their ill-gotten gains. Our revenge will be the laughter on the faces of our children. I haven't watch it through because of the intermittent noises of the baby. Does it continue throughout? It seems really interesting and hope it isn't completely spoiled...

That baby was extremely annoying. As the Serbians would say, “Remove baby from premises.”

What I wouldn't give to be there with an assault rifle

Marx saw the working-class revolution would follow on inevitably from the bourgeois revolution. However, he also warned about the dangers of the growing middle-class.
"these middle-classes rest with all their weight upon the working-class and at the same time increase the social security and power of the upper-class."
"The more a ruling-class is able to assimilate the most prominent men of the dominated classes the more stable and dangerous is its rule."
Which of course happened in the 20th century and continues onto today, as both Labour and Conservative hand out loans for first time buyers, college education, start up businesses etc. All the while slashing subsidies for working-class industry, welfare and social programs. Which I think lies behind the Bailing out of the banking system in both America and the UK, in that the prime motive wasn't bailing out a few dozen banksters, but rather it saved the shirts of Middle-class depositors. The same middle-class depositors who now rest with all their weight upon the working class - i.e. petty bourgeois philistines calling for benefit cuts or Guardian reading hand-wringing Liberals who's discontent never seems to translate into votes for Left of centre parties. -
Lol - apparently the Fascists who were the main force in the Maidan Revolution are now being bumped off one by one by the new pro-Western government. Such asinine fools never seem to learn.the lessons of history - i.e, never trust the Liberal bourgeois. They are the classic wolf in sheeps clothing.

Oh God people still believe Communism is for the common man?
-
80 percent of the world lives on less than 10 dollars a day. As debt increases globally, more and more people will be exploited.
-
If working people are not exploited, you would not have the goods and services you have, you would not have the fancy clothes you are wearing in this video, Ella Rule. The rich always exploit the poor. That's why its important to go to school, to get an education. If you don't you join the ranks of the exploited. Get an education, be smart and resourceful, so you can exploit others, There is tremendous joy in being the exploiter because you get to boss others around. Communism be damned.
-
There is no capitalist crisis you crazy woman. There is a communist crisis because all former Communist countries have abandoned Marxist-Leninism. For them to abandon it in favor of capitalism, the dogma of Communism must be inherently and fundamentally wrong. Face it, working people or the proletariat are exploited anyway. In the Soviet Union they were exploited by Stalin and the communists, in the west they are exploited. Every government in the world exploits its people.

the retarded baby ruined it

Talking about this is nice and improves my mood but were all fucked..if there was any chance of a Socialist world the Soviet Union would have had to destroy USA, Uk 50 years . You talk about the worker then go shopping whole foods for dinner. Have you ever actually tried to work for a living making 9$ a hour. It sucks .
