2. Sounds nice but I am not getting the math on this. There s a finite level of money supply and sharing it with a larger population would divide it into a smaller amount of money per person. Which would make us need to print more money to supply a larger population. This would lower our valuation of the dollar. Especially when people are sending a portiion of the money to another country. Lowering the money supply even more.
   One of the current economic problems with the US is that a large portion of our money supply is stuck in the hands of the rich. So that money doesnt circulate to the middle class. Illegal immigration takes more money out of our money supply. Tell me how that helps the rest of the country....I am not getting it. Educational answers please...

5. This video completely ignores the cultural, ethnic, and demographic implications of open immigration. And when this video says that it brings prosperity, yes, it sure does. It brings prosperity to the owner of a burger chain or landscaping company, a massive influx of cheap labor that is absolutely sure to keep driving down wages. But what happens what that happens? You have the expansion of neighborhoods populated by these foreign, cheap workers. You have the displacement of other groups within the community to make way for these workers. Here in Las Vegas, entire communities, which used to be populated by Blacks and Whites, have been completely overrun and occupied by the Hispanic population. My high school's are practically a homogeneous sea of Mexicans, and when I was a teen, I couldn't find one job. Why hire a suburban teen like me when a business can hire Pedro from El Salvador, capable of working for $3 an hour? It's perfect, profitable, and excellent, for the employer and Pedro For the rich and the foreign. Not for me, not for other low-wage, unskilled labor. And as we continue to import more, these neighborhoods expand, the crime expands, the wages plummet or stay the same, and American workers are phased out in favor of ILLEGAL work.
   
   I don't care if Pedro's wage is 1000% more in the US than if he worked in El Salvador. I couldn't care less. I care about my country, myself, and my countrymen, who are forced to compete with Pedro, a man who broke the law to get here, and, along with the rest of his population, is perpetuating the demographic death of Whites in the US, from 74% in 2005 to 63% now. In a way, it's perfect for you guys. You get to exploit cheaper and cheaper labor while at the same time celebrating and patting yourselves on the back about how diverse we're getting. All the while ignoring crime statistics and the general safety of majority Mexican immigrants.
   
   My great grandparents were Cuban doctors who fled oppression in Cuba, my other side is descendant from Swedish Pharmacist. High wage, high paying jobs that contributed positively to the economy by driving down the exorbitant prices of medicine and medical care we have today. In fact, that's probably why most ivory tower liberals don't like, people competing for THEIR job, instead of their maid's job.
6. We need to end the welfare state first!!!!! A society of economic freedom with a huge welfare state will create massive problems. Based on the human tendency to acquire the most resources for the least amount of labor and risk- most immigrants to this society (the West in general) aren't drawn to that society to create more wealth through risk and investment- it would be largely easier and efficient in the short term (not for the long term society) to go on welfare benefits.
   Of course we should care for our common man and woman and let them be free to move about, but doing it through a centralized govt is immoral via the NAP and even by utilitarian standards only subsidizes poverty via the welfare cliff- where one has to work much harder when off welfare to gain as much money as welfare provides with no work at all!
7. Immigration reform is necessary because of inadequate immigration policy and execution. It will help boost the economy.
   
   Secure the border, expand guest-worker programs, increase work visas, give illegal immigrants that are already here legal status (Green Card) if they pass a background check and then send them to the back of the line to apply for citizenship.
   
   Solution for border security:
   
   Base all border agents' and their superiors' pay raises and bonuses on illegal immigration numbers.
   
   Track visas so people don't overstay their visas.
   
   Decriminalize drugs. It'll remove the problem of drug smugglers crossing the border illegally, lessen the danger to border security and residents of border towns.
   
   Government should have to verify legal status of those to whom they issue licenses, welfare and voter registration.
   
   Require the government to e-verify when an employer files an I-9 for an employee, not the employer; put the legal responsibility on the government if they get it wrong not on business.
   
   Increase work visas to match the demand by U.S businesses.
   
   Together all this will mean fewer people crossing the border illegally making it easier for border security to catch those who do cross illegally.

11. Let in more unskilled labor, and you will increase the supply of it. That drives down what unskilled laborers will make if the labor demand doesn't rise equally.

I'm sorry how will a billion new workers not affect the native population, in my country shipyard workers are massively getting fired for cheap immigrants who are willing to work for less money. there is a reason why rich countries refuse it, not to mention social problems...     The first and foremost goal of any government is to protect the interests of it's OWN people. That's literally it. I think people would have a revolution if our government put the interests of others before it's own people.

19. Well, you're partially right. "More Wealth" is generated when you let in more immigrants.
    
    But then you get Norway's 99% of rapes committed by immigrants issues, or the UK's heavily burdened NHS, hell, not to even bring up the Muslim rape gangs or huge wealth inequality created by immigrants stealing jobs (yes, it is fucking happening you progressive fuckwits).
    
    Not to even bring up Germany, or hell, how open immigration and anti-racist policies have made it so that the Front National (E.G. "French Nazi Party") is going to win the elections in 2017.
20. What about overpopulation? What about language barriers? What about discrimination against immigrants? I agree that immigration should be more open and has a lot of benefits, but there are some downsides :/
