This is a seriously disappointing video on globalization. The idea that millions of Chinese have moved out of poverty is misleading. It ignores what they have moved in to: OPPRESSION.
It's like if someone picked up a date from a women's shelter, took her out for a meal, and then slightly beat the crap out of her. Of course, they could say, "well, her husband used to REALLY beat the crap out of her. I only SLIGHTLY beating the crap out of her."
We would not consider that "date" to be a virtuous act. Globalization has taken the Third World on an analogous date. Let's not kid ourselves into thinking this is honorable. -
