The latest unemployment rate drop was from 9.4% from 9.8%, is somewhat encouraging. While many pundits criticize the government's economic stimulus package, it seems that much of the funds never entered the economy at all in 2010 as anticipated. Because of various delays, cities across America still have unspent funds, hundreds of millions in Los Angeles alone as an example. These designated funds should give the American economy a real boost in 2011. While many countries in Europe have their share of fiscal problems, at least their governments are well past "the head in the sand" stage and are aggressively addressing imbalances and flaws in their economies. The world may be underestimating Europe's willingness to fight this fight as a united front. Our second guest will be Charles D. Vollmer, President, VII Inc.
