Forbes Global CEO Conference 10/14/2015

Parañaque City 14 October 2015 President Benigno S. Aquino III joined global entrepreneurs and prominent world business leaders on the final day of the 15th Forbes Global CEO Conference held at the Solaire Resort and Casino, Parañaque City. In a discussion dubbed as “A Meeting of Minds” with Forbes Media Chairman and Editor-in-Chief Steve Forbes, President Aquino talked about the economic growth of the Philippines and the growing tourism in the country. “Domestic tourism target with like 36 million annually - that was for 2016 but in 2011 to 2012, we actually surpassed that number already. The current target is 56 million tourist figures,” he said. The President also discussed the government’s technical and vocational training programs for the large population of the youth, as well as the gains of his administration’s anti-corruption initiatives and a number of successful Public-Private Partnership (PPP) projects in the country. Held in the Philippines for the first time, the Forbes Global CEO Conference is an annual prestigious gathering of global chief executive officers (CEOs), business tycoons, entrepreneurs, ‘up-and-comers’, capitalists and thought leaders.
