But the thing is, if you don't fly a lot, wouldn't you be able to just buy first class whenever you do happen to fly? If you have to buy a fairly expensive economy ticket very often to keep on adding miles, wouldn't that equate to buying a very expensive first class ticket not very often?

What's with all the "rich" comments. Alot of people have to fly alot for work. You can fork out $0 and have executive platinum status (For AA or any other airline programs), because business pays for all the flights, but you have the rewards program.
I used to have to fly Sydney to London every 2 months, it was business class to begin with, part of the membership program with marco polo club, the rewards I get is 4 free upgrades a year, plus the miles earned gets me a free return business class ticket to anywhere in the world.
That's only 6 times a year, imagine those who flies every week, every fortnight, you don't have to fork out a cent to get some of these rewards. -
whats so big about a old man that acts like hes 15!!! i'll never know....

I committed myself to Emirates. My first time flying Emirates was from Moscow to Dubai. It's was awesome, it was my first time one of those planes with 2 floors. I was only like in 3rd grade. But sadly I live in America now, and there's like no Emirates in Washington.

if they clean the slate every year and it takes a year to earn, then you can only
get it every other year, right? but this is old anyway and nothing stays the same for long. -
Does someone pay him for buying tickets to fly those 100 000 miles, or is that out of his own personal pocket? I guess it's "easy" if you have a job that pays for your plane tickets AND requires you to fly a lot.

3 million people are going to buy into this shit... You understand that the Executive Platinum Card is designed in a way that will give American Airlines a ton more profit. Say a person flies to different parts of the US 10 times a year. Each trip accumulating 5,000 miles... By the end of the trip... You'll spend that appropriate amount for sitting in coach. With Casey's amazing fucking strategy which will hurt you more than it will help... You will have to fly 20 times in a year... Each flight again accumulating 5,000 miles. You may get the Executive Platinum Card and get to fly in better seats for the same price, but you ended up paying double what you would've flying regularly. The prices between Coach and Business (or first class) are not so huge to the point where it'll be saving you money after the double flight dilemma... It also doesn't help that it ends within a year, or less of a year depending on when you get the card. This video makes me furious, because it's teaching a sheep tactic to the people on the internet who may not know the negative outcome of using this strategy. What a smug fucker to try to get people to pay more for less.
