http://www.democracynow.org - Speaking from Johannesburg, leading anti-apartheid activist and former South African intelligence minister Ronnie Kasrils discusses the evolution of the African National Congress' economic views from its time as a liberation movement to leading South Africa after the fall of apartheid. Kasrils says the ANC was forced to make a "Faustian Pact" with neoliberalism in order to bring apartheid to an end and avoid civil war. He also discusses recent reports that Mandela was a member of the South African Communist Party. Kasrils was on the National Executive Committee of the ANC for 20 years, serving as minister for intelligence services from 2004 to 2008. See part 2 of this interview at http://youtu.be/1aQzxMrCwj0. Ein sehr interessanter Mensch. Habe ihn im Februar 2016 im Zug von Kapstadt nach Johannesburg kennen gelernt !

The Mandela who came out of prison was not the same Mandela who went in, he should have pushed for land reform and not align himself with the neoliberals. He sold-out, going to Davos Switzerland to meet with and make a deal with the same fascist capitalists who classified him and the ANC as terrorist until 2008 was a very bad deal and make him a sellout, especially when he cosigned onto the TRC bullshit of forgiving people who were still abusing you and your people

It could have been done incrementally. Push consolidate, then push again, each time winning stronger and stronger support as the peoples lives improved. Mandelka is famous BECAUSE he sold his people out to elite interests, he would be utterly vilified if had done what he was elected to do, take the country rich in natural resources stolen by white fascists back and given it to the indiginous people...
