That's an interesting thought... I wonder how gradual this process will be. I mean...Do you suddenly wake up one morning with all the oil gone? Does processing Oil Shale become more and more attractive, even though it's harder to extract, and thus slow the process down? I think it'll happen gradually enough (with a few hiccups, of course) for us to adapt. At least...I hope it does.

Well yes...Peak Oil may be a problem for distribution. At the least, it will force food producers to ship their products shorter distances, as prices rise. I could actually see a time when manufacturing may be FORCED into becoming more modular and local, as well, as shipping prices increase. Either way...People are good at spotting the needs of others and fulfilling them. It's what we do.

No! We've got plenty of natural resources...We've just appointed the wrong authority...The Federal Government...To decide where those resources are allocated. The free market has, historically, done an exemplary job of allocating resources.

cityguyusa. I mean no offense, but I believe never is a better word. There will never be wage inflation in China.

Stern Report 2: He states, "our actions over the coming few decades could create risks of major disruption to economic and social activity, later in this century and in the next, on a scale similar to those associated with the great wars and the economic depression of the first half of the 20th century. In June 2008 Stern increased the estimate to 2% of GDP to account for faster than expected climate change.

Stern Report 1: Stern Review Sterns report suggests that climate change threatens to be the greatest and widest-ranging market failure ever seen, and it provides prescriptions including environmental taxes to minimize the economic and social disruptions.

I see some problems with that ideology. Granting that all the corporate commercial governmental systems are corrupted how does increasing their military powers solve anything for the common people? Divide and conquer is the oldest strategy on the planet People all around the planet pushing against the power structure. How does isolating and treating them like they are different, enemies, help Is it the old rhetoric: A whole lot of people are going to have to die so follow me I have a plan

Re:Cover-up The: swine eleven global warming eleven economy eleven terror eleven tell lie vision distractions will keep people glued to their idols while the world crumbles around them. Is there any political opposition to the direction the world is headed? Everyone seems to be on-board for the Armageddon express. Bomb makers still pumping it out and the arms dealers filling the supply and demand insanity When all else fails they will take us to war, yippee. What thoughtful leaders we have.

They're fighting the collapse of the bubble by making another bubble. We bubbled from too much credit and spending... Solution? Lower rates and give "stimulus" so people have more credit and spend more and consume more. Genius! Er... wait... The next huge bubble with be the carbon credits. They'll be traded like the CDOs were. And the taxes will be paid by the end-consumer, not "evil corporations." More taxes, hurray! Trust your government, folks!

In other words, just because you dislike the idea of taxes, as do I. Or better yet, .... Even if you LIKED of the idea of taxes - YAY and NAY both have absolutely no effect on climate change. See whether you agree with taxes or don't agree with taxes neither position will change the fact that there is climate change. I hate the idea of taxes. Taxes will solve nothing - however that doesn't change the fact that there is climate change and it is caused by human beings. Don't mix issues.

Gov't looking for ways to make easy money? Absolutely. I agree 100%. Creative taxes on farmers which are 100% unjust??? I agree with you 110% Unfortunately the reality is that you are missing the point. And the point is that the government is using this scientific fact as an excuse to tax more. Basically the gov knows that there is this problem and their reaction is to tax it (because that is what govs do best). However taxes and climate change have nothing to do w/ each other.

Yeah. Why don't China and India just sell to and amongst themselves. Both countries make up one third of the world population.

global warming is a scam

Ah, folks from 'over the pond' might not understand the farting cows. See, there has been legislation proposed to tax farmers (again) because their cows produce methane. That is just as stupid as a cap-and-trade approach. (or as stupid as cigarette taxes). Why? Because they don't care about farting cows or even smoking..gov't is looking for easy money.

Also, Gore says global weather is non-linear: changes happen in spurts. PS - California is having it's hottest/dryist year I've ever experienced.

I know all the rules ,but the rules do not know me. Guaranteed.

Global Warming is food politicians feed to idiots in order to quell their bellies. No research supports the phenomena.

You don't need to be highly educated to borrow money for a real estate with zero down payment and low income.

As usual, can't disagree with anything you say here. Wish you'd speak more about how Iran will get attacked for asking for payment in euros and not dollars. Also about how China has officially advised its inhabitants to buy gold. Very good, highly rated, widely shared, and clicked. Greetings from France.

Not good strategy if you want to keep your guns. Another weapon, surely.
