Motorists in Germany not only suffer from high temperatures, but also from high gasoline prices. Over the weekend, prices reached an all-time high with a liter of Super E10 costing well over 1.70 Euro. And this is while many return from their summer holidays. Germany's Automotive Society, was quick to accuse the fuel industry of deliberately hiking prices, politicians denounced price-fixing agreements. But the Petroleum Trade Association dismissed the allegations and referred to the currently high costs of crude oil instead.
