Geithner Says Global Economy Needs a `Strong' Dollar

Nov. 12 (Bloomberg) -- U.S. Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner talks with Bloomberg's Haslinda Amin about the importance of a ``strong'' dollar and the prospects for global recovery. Speaking in Singapore following a meeting between members of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation group, Geithner also comments on China's plans to shift its economy toward domestic demand and away from a reliance on exports.
