Dear Professor Wolff, the part about the workers taking over the business is wonderful, but wouldn't intelectual property laws be as big of an obstacule as the negotiation with share holders and government officials? Trade Marks, patents, trade secrets and royalties. Would it be possible to use imminent domain laws? Otherwise, long and unwinnable legal battles against giant conglomerates, would undermine every thing. Given they're ability to corrupt government officials, the justice system and the media. I'd love to hear your comments in a future event. Thanks for your brilliant work.

It would be fairly simple to just enact requirements for companies that do business in America to have a certain percentage of their workforce in America. That would mitigate their moving jobs overseas, inspire investment from other countries, while insuring americans were still crucial for the world economy on both sides of the consumer producer relationship.

Modified economic nationalism: just a worker co-op dream at this point.

Hey Prof! I'm a student of one of your former students, Tom DelGeduice. Great guy. Was wondering if you have a link to the NYT article you were critiquing early on in the lecture? Thank you!

So solve globalism (which the leftists created) with ponzi scheme loans backed by government and the destruction of operating business based on profit. Centralize the power of corrupt mankind into a single government monopoly that decides who all the winners and losers will be? LOL. Sounds like COMMUNISM WARMED OVER.

We are truly doomed as a civilization. How do we fight this? Bernie was a spark of hope but the system dealt with him. And, they will likely rig the election against Trump as well. Richard, how do we fight against this? Because of you and others like you, we are finally starting to see the real problem. But, how do we bring down the establishment? The only way I can think of is to stop buying things. The way I see it, the only value we the people have to the elites is as consumers. So, it seems that our demands might be heard and addressed if we simply stopped buying anything other than the necessities. What is your opinion on this?

So right. The government has been so successfully taken over by the corporations and banks that they don't even bother to hide it anymore. They flaunt it publicly. They have no shame.

I'm a new listener, I love it.. knowledge is power.
-
Excellent analysis of the malaise that has undermined the Trade Union across many of the developed economies and the urgent need for people to wrest back control over their lives, by taking control over their workplaces and their communities through worker cooperatives.
-
Are there other sources so one can get more information on the subject in the same manner?

Always enlightening. Thank you so much for what you do, Richard!
