biggest problem in the global healthcare are insurance companies, multi million dollar salaries of CEOs of insurance companies, billions of paper waste, and huge bonus system for sales people selling premiums with crappy deductibles, 25%of the trillions of dollar healthcare market is pure unnecessary waste , try to solve that with a vegan diet...

Excellent video

Funny quotes from doctors: number 1 "We are not grass eaters". Number 2: "I feel like you can atleast eat fish and eggs". Feelings apparently are important in the medical field :-D. Not facts.
-
The problem is that the wannabe Rambo diet and attitude is way bigger than the be a (strong) vegan and be healthy movement. I guess we just have to wait them all out.

I have actually had people say to me, "I am going to die of something anyway, so I might as well eat good while I am here", "You have to have cholesterol to live so you have to eat animals", "Can't you just give me a pill", "But I really love my morning donut [this was a type 2 diabetic with an uncontrolled glucose level averaging about 250....she has neuropathy and has had to changed her eye prescription 4 times in the last 2 years), and "I would rather live a shorter life than not eat bacon or feta cheese". I want to do a V-8 forehead punch when I talk to these people!
I am an RN, and I am working on my masters to become a nurse practitioner. I plan on advocating for my patients by educating them on how important what you put in your mouth is to your health. We can only hope that medicine will get out of the back pocket of big pharm and start pushing a treatment that could really make a difference! -
This is nothing new. In the seventies, fit for life, the hallelujah diet, proposed taxes on saturated fats, meat and dairy. Pretty radical ideas for the time. I agreed with it then and now. I've yo-yo'd and am now vegan for the past year (I've been vegetarian, raw, juicer, paleo, done it all). Now, as a middle aged, successful adult TAXPAYER we NEED to help other taxpayers understand that we are getting SCREWED by BIG PHARMA, the MEDICAL INDUSTRY (not healthcare) and BIG INSURANCE companies. WE all have to take responsability for our health and lives and people just ignore this! Super frustrating. It's not utopia BUT it is a vast improvement to doing nothing.

So proud I'm with Kaiser. My physician is so sweet and she even gives me tips on what to eat so I get enough nutrients. My medical bills are ridiculously low because of veganism :-D

Whole foods, organic, vegan diet with drinking pure spring water means virtually disease free for life unless bitten by some infected animal or mosquito. Been vegan for nearly a decade (20-30 years old) and I haven't been sick once even though I've worked and lived with sick people through this time. I know this is anecdotal but you have a much higher probability of avoiding disease this way. Before going vegan I was chronically sick and looked terrible.

Hello everyone :) So the question I'm about to ask is not directly linked to this video but still, since we're talking about diets only, here's what I'm wondering : I'm a French student and my major at the university is English. If I ever came to talk about veganism to a French audience I would of course wanna be precise in the terms I use ^^ Therefore, is there a word in English that defines someone having a vegan diet but not necessarily cares about going full vegan (with cruelty-free clothing, hygiene products...) Because in French we use the word "végétalien" to define someone with a vegan diet, but it is very specific to food, and we also use the English word "vegan" but it applies to an entire lifestyle and fits the Vegan Society's definition of anyone trying his best to not induce animal suffering in his or her mode of consumption (food, clothing, products of diverse use). Thank you for your help and thanks to Mic the Vegan for this ever so informative video :)

Thank you for your videos :)!

Preach on brother!
You know, I tried to share some of the boons of a vegan diet in a vlog brothers video and I was totally shocked at the hate I got. Being a vlog bro's video I thought the people would be open to civil discussion so I showed some scientific studies clearing up some confusion of facts regarding the vegan diet (like how it's reversed some diseases). They ignored my science and instead just flamed me with bitter hate.. :( -
According to what I read here and elsewhere I came to realize that vegan is a form of fachism. Fortunately you're very few.

I just gave birth on 4/8/16 at a Kaiser Permanente. I told them I was vegan. Their version of a "vegan" breakfast was eggs without cheese. They had no vegan options for the "nice" dinner they provide for you and your birth partner. They only provide this one meal for your birth partner. But they do provide a list of local fast-food chains that your partner can visit. They were all extremely unhealthy, let alone vegan. I just found that ironic considering the quote you provided. Hopefully they are working on more vegan options.

People are stupid and ignorant. You'll never change the majority of people. Let the human-race destroy itself from greed.
