Saturday 21st November 2015 The LSESU-UCL Economics Conference is a joint special project hosted by both the LSESU Economics Society and the UCL Economist's Society, officially endorsed by both the LSE and UCL Economics Departments. Our website: http://www.lseuclconference.com “Where is Economics Going? – A Future of Uncertainty” Speakers: Linda Yueh, Chris Snowdon, Stewart Lansley, Margot Salomon, Peter Swann, Judith Shapiro, Susannah Hume, David Tuckett, Jagjit Chadha & Mattia Romani. The aim of the conference is to draw attention to what is happening in the wider economic world and how these trends will shape how we see the future. For the past few years, discussions have been dominated by the causes of the global financial crisis and the lessons we have learnt from it. Through our conference, we want to shift the focus of discussions towards our interconnected future and provide a platform for the pressing question of how we can adapt to new technological, social and economic developments in our societies. We wish to empower our generation of thinkers with more unconventional approaches to understanding the implications of our future, beyond the Neoclassical framework we are accustomed with to see the changing global landscape from new perspectives.
