The Netherlands were occupied by the Germans in May 1940. After 5 years of suffering they were liberated amongst others by Canadian troops. A fierce fighting took place. This film was made not so long after the war. See my other films of the Netherlands many years ago by searching with: michael rogge netherlands

The Dutch are such pussies. They always need to be saved, cause they can't fight their own war. 5 days of defending?? wtf!! Britain got bombed multiple times and never surrendered. The UK, Canada and USA never should have sacrificed their soldiers for this little insignificant nation. Look what they did in Bosnia.
-
without nazi help, there's no Indonesia and Suriname.
-
So what was the purpose of the film back then? And where was it broadcasted?
-
o.s.o.

The Dutch treat Indonesians like slaves. In other words, they are not as victims as many people think.
-
This is what happens if an outdated army is challenged by German engineering :D

It truly hurts to see that my people had to go through this. My Opa was in Amsterdam when this all went down. Only the dutch could have weathered this storm. Strong people, smart people, Dutch people. Long Live Nederland's.
