this video is too depressing and political to be about the simpsons.

Looking only at wage data is misleading because several things factor into overall quality of life. If your wages stay the same but everything you buy gets cheaper then you will be able to buy more stuff. If wages and prices stay the same but the quality and functionality of what you buy improves then your quality of life also improves.
Is there inequality, yes, but you cannot say that the quality of life has not improved for everyone to some degree. -
You forgot that through-out multiply decades he has been the main character in one of the world' s most succesful reality tv program. I think he's just a bit above the middle class...
-
This is depressing af and I live in a shithole compared to America.

This fails to account for various sales and winnings Homer had. For example, Homer said in one episode that he earned a lot of money by donating to a sperm bank which wouldn't be considered a job but would have earned him a lot of money.

WOW Never though my favourite childhood character represent America economy
-
im only 21 and this really makes me think about the near future job market and the student debt that awaits me. this just makes me more depressed
-
What about him being a wildly successful pop artist (although briefly) and owning the Denver Broncos once? Probably lots of income there.
-
Could've done a much better job if the video was elongated
