So it costs DOUBLE to produce, and the only way it can survive is if the government hurts the competition, and raise taxes on families... This is "progress" ? Or "forward thinking" ?
Why not tell the manufacturers to find more efficient technology? What a crock!
This whole "report" stinks of bias not just towards green energy, but towards a much larger & more intrusive Government. -

I do live in Germany and while green energy becomes more and more popular it isn't nearly as good as pictured in the video. Big companies like e.on and Vattenfall refused to get out of the coal and nuclear energy and just build these windparks for promotion only. In fact they always want to trick the government to pay for alternative energy sources although they themselves haven't made the necessary changes and scientific researches in the last years. They even raise the prices for electricity even though the usage is higher than ever. It's the same with the famous German automobile industry and their ridiculous attempts to build a good electric car. As long as big companies like Mercedes, BMW or VW are making profit out of this dirty resources and old technology no one is interested in changing a thing. Even worse: at the end the people will pay these changes with their taxes, these companies will make more money and laugh their assets off.
Innovation and engineering is a big key of the German society but the greed is slowing it down a lot. Let's hope Tesla and other innovative global players don't show us how it's done... -
