I understand his point of view on this topic but I disagree with the end of this video, first of all the fast food industry needs to go away, it creates a lot health issues with people who can't even afford health care, they are part of the problem. Second, high school kids don't need to be working these non essential no future jobs, just to learn skills and discipline or whatever, that's what school is for. We need to be investing in better education which in the long run will eliminate the need for all the public welfare, because these people will acquire higher quality skill sets and knowledge to create more jobs and entrepreneurship yielding a better quality of life for themselves and all communities, which will also yield more stable economic growth. But if course, this would only happen in a utopian world where greed doesn't exist. And unfortunately, the world we live in only functions on greed, but barely, and people like people Peter schiff do not care about those poor suffering stuck in a situation there is no way out of because God forbid these millionaire and billionaire ceos take a pay cut to raise slave wages to livable wages to help stimulate the economy and help pull us out of debt. Guaranteed these corporations played a big part in the crisis we're in today and that should be their penalty. Not tax cuts and bailouts, etc.

LOVE THIS GUY!!! Couldn agree more:)

I always wondered what happens with these doomsday tellers when they
can't tell you 'I'VE TOLD YOU SO'. I mean the world has ended 14 times
in the last 16 years according to hell tellers like him. But where are
they disappearing after that? Just deleting the videos and try to make
an other bet so they can tell the phrase after a few tries to get
credibility? Finance industry is fascinating. -
by 2022 that $15/hr min. wage will be worth less than the min wage now, due to dollar value collapse.
-
$15 / hr minimum wage is what's needed to keep our economy viable. If the increase doesn't help, it's immaterial anyway. McDonald's workers can't afford McDonald's as it is. If food stamps stop, people will die, and not because they are hungry. Food stamps buy peace. The whole system is failing, and will continue to get worse. Lawlessness and anarchy is just around the corner... and, the government wants to outlaw guns. Go figure. Agree with the limited government issue.... and that is probably how this will play out, no matter who dislikes it.
-
All technology that you have today cam from government funded research at the government laboratories and universities. What do you think, who "invented" internet, microchips, semiconductors, new drugs? Government sent a man to the moon 50 years ago, private industry still can not sent a probe to space.
-
not so long ago we got laws to ban child labor, laws to protect environment, laws that regulate paid vacation, and 40 hours work week. At that time people like Peter Schiff were saying that industry will collapse it can not afford environmental protection, it can not function without child labor,
-
Food stamps and farm subsidies are a problem. HA HA HA how about welfare to financial industry, to financial speculators, to large corporation that use US knowledge and technology but do not pay the US taxes, how about 2 trillion of dollars for the war in Iraq?
-
HA HA HA HA I would really like to see business going form NY state to the state of Oklahoma or Kansas, because (minimum) wages are lover there, and it is cheaper doing business there. This guy is full of BS.
-
Everything he says is sound but I don't agree that we leave the most at-risk citizens, the disabled and mentally incapacitated, completely to the mercy of charitable organizations. The nature of charity diminishes in a society of greed, which ours is, myself included. Can tax break motivation even touch this need? Not at first I don't believe. Even if Schiff's idea were all implemented tomorrow, it will be years before Americans feel "safe" again and have enough to feel comfortable. If the holders of the 1% of wealth were taxed extremely, perhaps the tax breaks could be motivation enough to do something significant but will it be significant enough? Although, if enough jobs were created, many of these incapacitated could find low skill jobs and be able to produce something but so many would not be able to. Has Schiff done any hard math on figures of people who absolutely cannot work and how much charity would have to be raised in a year to support these people, at either the state or federal level? I believe the redistribution of wealth would happen naturally, according to his concepts, and that is a good thing in my opinion. The bottom of the pyramid of wealth should be heavier at the bottom rather than the top. Otherwise you have an upside down pyramid. And that is an unstable structure.

What a relief to see an actual unbiased TV station that invites Peter for an interview & doesn't troll him the entire time. Getting sick of the knee jerk off liberals on CNBC. They get so offended by what Schiff says because they're dishonest & know he speaks the truth.
-
LISTEN to Peter Schiff, not the mainstream clueless reporters.
-
shut UP, FOOL!!

Peter Schiff is full of more shit than the Christmas goose! What about May 28, Mr. Bullshit?
