The IMF has warned that a "Brexit" would prompt "major challenges" and an extended period of economic uncertainty, which would damage confidence and investment, increase market volatility and hurt trade and growth. Maurice Obstfeld, the IMF's chief economist added, that if the UK votes to leave the exit negotiations will take time and exacerbate problems in an already sluggish global economy. "IMF warns 'Brexit' could do 'severe damage' to global economy"
Did I read that right? A country with a population of only 65 million can bring down an economy which has a population of 7 billion? Then truly we really do have a bad system of economics if that is truly the case. Of course I do not believe for one minute what the IMF says and trust me I know exactly what they are saying and what they are about to say. Not because I can see into the future, no nothing that freaky, but I do know what they said in the past about the UK not joining the Euro and it was exactly the same. Another one of the IMF's bedfellows is the CBI so expect to hear far more from them soon too.
