Please India you are still managing poverty ok the PPP programe will not work because Indian agriculture is inefficient and the farmers will drag those companies down.You mentioned the suicide among farmers that is as a result of their inefficient agriculture and trying to help that becomes managing poverty. The characteristics of third world agricultural economy is having 60% of the population working in Agriculture but in advanced economy it is about 5% or at most 10% works in agriculture so that creates efficient agriculture. Indias inefficiency is as a result of poor general economic planning based on the old philosophy of self reliance which is not in line with new philosophy of global village. If India wants efficient agriculture she has to speed up her industrialization so as to move rural population to the cities there by freeing lands for efficient agriculture. Untill then you will continue to see farmers suicide and inefficient agriculture.
