Introducing Indonesia, the largest economy in Southeast Asia and a member of the G20. With $894.9 billion GDP in 2012, which is 6% annual growth since 2010, Indonesia outperformed its regional neighbours and joined China and India as the only G20 member posting growth in 2009. In recent years, the Indonesian Government introduced major changes in the financial sector, which included capital market development, and supervision, tax and custom reforms, and the use of treasury bills. Those have made Indonesia to be ranked in the Top 5 in the AT Kearney Global Services Location Index in 2011. The index tracks the contour of the global outsourcing landscape in 50 countries and their potential across three major categories: 1. Financial Attractiveness, 2. People skills and availability; and 3. The business environment -- it's as good as the climate! With over 279 contact centres & BPO companies, powered by more than 120 thousand agents; and with a first contact resolution rate of 80% and only a 2% abandon rate, the statistics are second to none. Indonesia also offers Financial Attractiveness. It is showed by the average annual wage in IT industry: • Junior resource with less than 4 years experience: $3,000 - $6,000 • Senior resource with 5 to 10 years experience:$8,,400 - $8,000. • Managerial resource with more than 10 years experience:$18,000 - $24,000. • Call Centre representatives, BPO analysts, IT Programmers: $6,000 - $18,000 Infrastructure cost: • Rentals average at about $172 per square meter per year. • Commercial electricity rates work out to be $0.068 kiloWatt per hour. • And, international telecom costs are $0.6/minute. Indonesia also has an extensive pool of 118 million talented individuals with great 'people skills' and the availability to match. The number of people, who have obtained a university education and have entered the workforce in 2012, has increased by 47% and makes up 8.6% of the total Indonesian workforce. While AT Kearney FDI Confidence Index ranked Indonesia 19th in the world, showing how superb the business environment is, the quality of telecommunications infrastructure is also massive. It is handling nearly 40 million landlines, carrying 250 cellular customers with nearly 200 Internet Service Providers and 39 Network Access Providers, looking after around 60 million Internet users.
